SCOTTSDALE WEATHER

Last week we were excited to announce many details for the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships: Presented by Talking Stick Resort, a production of the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships November 7th at WestWorld of Scottsdale. If you didn’t have a chance to review the news that also included ticket pricing for the event, you can click here.

This week we wanted to zero in on some exciting new elements, new teams and a new focus on social distancing. Despite some of the changes for 2020, we believe it might be the most rewarding year yet.

WHAT’S NEW FOR 2020?

*A new team joining the event this year will be the Celebrity Cruises Polo Team in support of Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center. The team features some of the world’s top professional polo players including John Grobin and Tareq Salahi.

*A new, elegant and even more socially distance option this year is our new Elevated South Road Seating. Located above the field on WestWorld’s South Road this option offers a unique view of all the action. Includes a complimentary bottle of champagne for the table.

*Miss going to concerts? Local Arizona music legend Roger Clyne will be presenting a post event concert that will take place immediately adjacent to the polo field. Clyne’s performance is being produced by R Entertainment. The concert will be separately ticketed.

*2020 is also bringing new sponsors including “Million Dollar Mingle” led by former NFL Player AC Caswell that brings professional athletes, celebrities, executives and socialites to support local charities. Additional new sponsors include Mark-Taylor Residential, Bud Light Seltzer, McLaren Scottsdale and many more.

*You can enjoy an onsite selection of unique sculptures from critically acclaimed Valley artist, Pete Deise.

*Nothing is better than a picnic. This year, we are offering delicious new polo picnic boxes for pre-sale. Break out the blankets and chairs and enjoy while watching some of the country’s best polo matches.

*The event is putting a new focus on helping schools and nonprofits hit hard by COVID-19. In response to this unprecedented time, Scottsdale Polo Classic is offering local charities the chance to raise money utilizing its unique platform and event. Interested? WHAT’S CHANGING?

*As part of the approved changes for 2020, the event will feature extensive social distancing plans and policies including mandatory masks, sanitation stations, temperature checks and all open-air approach with tables, umbrellas and lattice fencing instead of the traditional tents to make guests as comfortable as possible while enjoying the festivities of the day.

*To make social distancing even easier at this year’s event, in addition to our open-air, field-side luxury seating options, we are now offering expanded sideline parking, reserved lawn and picnic areas and even General Admission lawn seating.

Thank you again for all of your previous support of the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships. The Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships will return as previously produced in 2021.
